U.S. Embassy in Lithuania is accepting applications from Secondary School Educators (including teachers, administrators, teacher trainers, curriculum developers, textbook writers, and ministry of education officials) of secondary education to participate in the 2024 Summer Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) program. Application Deadline: January 6, 2024
SUSI for Secondary Educators are intensive fully-funded academic programs with integrated study tours whose purpose is to provide foreign secondary school educators and administrators the opportunity to deepen their understanding of U.S. society, culture, values, and institutions. The ultimate goal of the Institutes is to strengthen curricula and to enhance the quality of teaching about the United States in secondary schools and other academic institutions abroad.
This year the programs will utilize a hybrid format with an initial virtual component taking place from June through August 2024.
Two Institutes for Secondary Educators will be offered: one with a focus on classroom teachers, and the second with a focus on administrators (teacher trainers, curriculum developers, textbook writers, and ministry of education officials).
Participants must complete the entire virtual program in order to participate in the in-person program component in the United States.
