Baltic American Freedom Foundation calls for applications for the following programs:

Professional Internship program

Apply now for an extraordinary experience interning for some of the most exciting companies in the U.S. Experience the U.S. with your peers through excursions to U.S. cities to meet with influential business leaders and leading U.S. companies.

All-inclusive scholarship upwards of $30,000 for six-month or year-long internships in the U.S. 

Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited post-secondary university and be in the final year (academic program/course of study must be at least three years in duration and and result in some form of degree, e.g. Bachelors), or have graduated within 6 months of Application Deadline, or be enrolled on a full-time basis at an accredited postgraduate university, e.g. Masters, Ph.D.

Research Scholarship program

The Research Scholar Program is meant to foster the exchange of ideas between the Baltic States and the U.S. and to stimulate international collaboration and research efforts. BAFF provides up to $60,000 fellowships for professors and academic researchers to conduct independent or collaborative research projects in the U.S. for up to one year. Senior academic and research professionals are encouraged to apply. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree, or have at least five years professional experience, or significant proven relevant experience.

Baltic – American Dialog program

The Baltic-American Dialogue program is designed to foster the exchange of ideas between the Baltic States and the U.S. and to stimulate international collaboration on topics of mutual interest. Public organizations are invited to apply for funds to host speakers from the U.S. to travel to the Baltics. BAFF funding will provide successful applicant organizations with financial support to sponsor American speakers on topics of mutual importance and interest. Funding is designed to cover logistics expenses, such as international airfare, local lodging and meals, and regional transportation. This program is designed to provide support for programs that could not be held without this funding. The grant is up to $10,000

Baltic experts who have been invited to present at major U.S. conferences or to address significant U.S. audiences are invited to apply for funds to cover unreimbursed costs of attending, such as conference registration, airfare, and lodging and meals. The grant is up to $5,000.

BAFF Summer Leadership Academy

Baltic-American Freedom Foundation Leadership Academy invites all 11th graders from the Baltic countries  to take part in the competition for the BAFF Leadership Academy summer program.The mission of the BAFF Leadership Academy is to train the next generation of innovators, leaders, change makers, and social entrepreneurs—the young people who will help solve the greatest challenges of the 21st century. BAFF scholarships will sponsor a group of 30 participants from Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania, who will be challenged to learn to think independently and lead effectively. Facilitated by a specially-trained teachers team, the program will help students learn what it means to be a leader and how they can use their unique strengths and experiences to develop their own leadership skills.
