Marcus Micheli, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, is currently the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. at the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius, Lithuania.
He previously served as Consul General at the U.S. Consulate in Yekaterinburg, Russia; as a Director at the National Security Council; and as Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, Moldova. In addition to tours at the Department of State in Washington, DC, he also has served overseas in Montenegro, Russia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Ukraine, and Poland. Mr. Micheli was a Pearson Congressional Fellow with the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, and he has an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University, an M.A. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a B.A. in History from Reed College.
