Event: Message to U.S. citizens regarding additional COVID-19 restrictions
The Lithuanian government announced additional restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19 effective Wednesday, December 16, including the closure of schools, retail stores with limited exceptions, and the restriction of movement within the country. The majority of the measures are to remain in place until January 31, with the restrictions on in-country movement to stay in place until January 3, 2021.

The U.S. Embassy in Vilnius continues to offer very limited appointments for passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, visa and notarial services. If you have an immediate need to travel, or other urgent need for a passport, please contact the Embassy and request an emergency passport appointment.
