Message for U.S. Citizens: Commemoration of 100 Years of U.S.-Lithuania Diplomatic Relations on August 2

The U.S. Embassy and the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs invite you to our official event commemorating 100 years of unbroken diplomatic relations between Lithuania and the United States.  The event will be held on Tuesday, August 2 in Washington Square in Vilnius, and is open to the public.  Join us for family-friendly activities such as carnival-style baseball and basketball competitions, trivia, and more.

Festivities begin at 4:00 p.m.; the official start of the program is 5:00 p.m. and will include remarks by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, U.S. Ambassador Robert Gilchrist, Professor Vytautas Landsbergis, and U.S. Embassy alumna and sports broadcaster Asta Žukaitė-Nalivaikienė.  The event will conclude with a concert by Orgen Roll Band.  We hope to see you there!
