Security Notice, Test of the Lithuanian National Emergency Broadcasting System Today
Today, November 16 at 11:52 a.m., the Lithuanian Fire and Rescue Department will conduct a test of the outdoor emergency notification system throughout Lithuania. This is only a test.
You may hear outdoor sirens followed by the verbal announcement, “Dėmesio visiems” (“Attention all”) for approximately three minutes. The sirens will be followed by text messages to cell phones of those who have requested to receive alerts. To receive alerts on iPhones, go to Settings/Notifications and scroll to the bottom to activate Government Alerts. (https://lt72.lt/?page_id=4686&lang=en)
In the event of a real emergency, residents are instructed to monitor public media for instructions.
