Traveling to the U.S. with Children

Unless traveling with both parents it is strongly recommended that minor children, under the age of 18, travel with a notarized letter signed by the unaccompanying parent (or both parents in the case of children traveling without parents), authorizing them to travel to the U.S.  This is strongly recommended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and can help prevent delays due to further questioning at U.S. ports of entry and departure.

We also recommend that parents check with the Lithuanian authorities who have similar requirements for residents of Lithuania.
