In Case of Emergency
The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Vilnius is available to assist U.S. citizens with an emergency during working hours, except for public holidays.

Public telephone hours:
Monday – Thursday: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
If you are an American citizen with an emergency after regular hours (5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Monday – Thursday, after 3:00 p.m. on Fridays, and anytime during weekends/holidays), please call the U.S. Embassy +370 5 266 5500 and ask to speak to the Duty Officer, who will assist you. Please only use this number for emergencies. All regular services and inquiries can be handled during normal business hours by the Consular Section.

The U.S. Department of State has a call center that provides information on worldwide situations that may affect American citizens. The Call Center also provides general information. Operators are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern time and 24 hours a day during crisis situations.
