To renew an expiring U.S. passport for an adult, you will need:

- A completed passport application Form DS-82 or Form DS-11, as applicable, please click here.
- In order to issue a U.S. passport, we must have proof of identity and citizenship. If you are renewing a valid or recently expired passport, your passport will serve as proof of both identity and citizenship.
- All passport applicants must provide one 2″x2″ or 5x5cm photo in color on a plain white or off white background, no glasses. The image must be sharp and correctly exposed. Read more about photo requirements here.
- All passport applicants will be required to pay a passport issuance fee. The fee may be paid with a bank card or in cash (either USD or EURO) to the Embassy at the time of application submission. You may find the fee calculator here.
To renew a U.S. passport for children under 16, both parents, in person, must confirm their consent for issuing a passport to their child. Both parents with their child should come to the Consular Section to apply for their minor child’s passport. If only one parent can come, then he/she will need to present a notarized DS-3053 form and the ID or passport copy of the absent parent. Submit a photocopy of the front and back side of the ID that the absent parent presented to the notary public with Form DS-3053. Applicants age 16 – 18 must show that at least one parent is aware that you are applying for a passport, therefore at least one parent must appear with you in person when you apply for your passport.

- U.S. certificate of birth or Consular Report of Birth Abroad.
- Previous passport.

- If the child’s appearance has changed since the last passport was issued, present some other form of photo ID, such as a recently-issued school ID or Lithuanian passport. Please bring a series of family photographs (e.g., for a 6-year old applicant who last passport was issued at age 1, please bring a series of family photos taken at ages 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5).
